Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Mission Raniganj’ is inspired by a true story. In this film, Akshay is playing the character of real-life hero Jaswant Singh Gill, who risked his life to save the lives of 65 mine workers trapped about 350 feet below the ground. Among the crowd of films releasing this week, ‘Mission Raniganj’ is a film which everyone should watch.
In 2006, in Kurukshetra, Haryana, despite having new technology, the operation to save the Prince who had fallen 50 feet below in a borewell lasted for 3 days, whereas, 18 years before this incident, in 1989, Jaswant Singh Gill had rescued the Prince who had fallen 50 feet below the ground in just 2 days. Saved the lives of 65 trapped laborers.
Through the character of ‘Capsule Man’ Jaswant Singh, Akshay Kumar has once again presented before us a new aspect of his talent. From the beginning till the last moment, this film does not let us move from the chair.
The basic methods of British technology, some two hundred and fifty years old, are still used in coal mines around the world. The first coal mine in India was started by British officials working for the East India Company in ‘Raniganj’.
It is obvious that the entire coal business of India was taken from the system made by the British. Even though these mines of England and India were 6000 kilometers away from each other. But there was one thing in common in both the mines and that was the accidents occurring in the mines.
Jaswant Singh Gill (Akshay Kumar) comes to Raniganj with his pregnant wife Nishodak (Parineeti Chopra). Jaswant was working as a rescue engineer with Coal India Limited in Raniganj, Kolkata.
When the mine was filled with water after the mine blast, Jaswant took the responsibility of saving 71 people trapped underground. However, even before the mission could begin, 6 laborers committed suicide. To know how Jaswant completes this difficult mission, you will have to watch ‘Mission Raniganj’ in theatre.
This is the film ‘Akshay Kumar’, Akshay Kumar has played the character of Jaswant Singh, who ignores his own health and keeps a calm mind in difficult times, doing his work very beautifully. ‘Mission Raniganj’ affects more than the airlift.
In the film, there is Jaswant on one side and his wife on the other. Parineeti Chopra, who plays the role of Akshay Kumar’s wife, looks positive to such an extent that the person in front gets worried after seeing her. Although he has not got anything special to do in this film. Artists like Varun Barola, Kumud Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Pavan Malhotra and Divyendu Bhattacharya give complete justice to their characters.
