This is the story of Manoj living in Chambal. Who comes from a very poor family, his father loses his job because his father is honest. There is even food at home. Manoj fails in 12th because cheating is prohibited in the school that year due to an honest police officer.

Vikrant Massey has shown through this film that he is as brilliant an actor as we thought till now. He is far ahead of that in acting. If there is any workshop of acting, if there is any knowledge, if there is any standard, then Vikrant touches every standard here.
A scared village boy with bowed shoulders and dreams in his eyes, who sometimes cleans dust in the library, sometimes sells tea and sometimes spends 15 hours grinding flour in a mill. Here Vikrant shows you a standard of acting which is hardly seen now. He should get every award for this film which is given to good actors.
This film will definitely determine a new direction in his career. Medha Shankar has played the character of Vikrant’s girlfriend. Here she fits perfectly with Vikrant and looks quite nice too. His acting is very powerful. Priyanshu Chatterjee has played the role of a police officer and it is great to see him.
Anant Vijay has played the character of Vikrant’s friend. He has to prepare for IAS under the pressure of his father and he has also played his character brilliantly. Vikas Divyakirti, who prepared for IAS, is also seen in the film and he looks as natural as we see him on social media. He played his own character and it did not seem that he had any problem with the camera of the film.
12th Fail Movie direction
Vidhu Vinod Chopra has directed the film and his command over the film has been tremendous. Where does one use whom and how much, where and how much work is to be done by whom. He has taken excellent care of it. Why was the love angle included in the film? It hurts a little in the first half but the director clears it up in the second half. This will also be counted among Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s most brilliant films.

The music of Shantanu Moitra is good. Exactly goes with the feel of the film and the most amazing is the background music. Which is not there, yes it was not needed and has not been included. In its place, the sound of Manoj’s flour mill and his tired breathing give such a feel to this film that there is no need for any other music.
Overall this film makes you quite emotional. It shows a journey which is amazing in itself and can motivate many people, so it is worth going to the theater to watch it.
